Parkingeye, the UK's leading car park management service, oversees more than 3,500 sites nationwide. In a strategic move to enhance their service portfolio, they set out to create a user-friendly mobile solution for finding, booking, and paying for parking. They partnered with us at Luminos Software to bring this important project to life.
Our mission was clear: develop a parking app with advance booking features and flexible payment options. It was a significant undertaking, aimed at transforming the parking experience for drivers across the UK.
We kicked off with our tried-and-true approach: understand, design, develop. Our team dug deep into Parkingeye's needs, crafting custom designs and interactive prototypes. With this solid foundation, our four-person mobile team was ready to turn the vision into reality.
Combining our React Native know-how with Parkingeye's in-house .NET expertise, we created a powerhouse partnership. Together, we built the Evology app for both iOS and Android. It's packed with features that let users find parking spots, book in advance, and pay with ease - all from their phone.
The results were impressive. We delivered the first version in just 16 weeks. Within a month of launch, Evology saw 60,000 downloads. Today, the app covers over 400 car parks across the UK, offering a new level of convenience to drivers.
